Mason County Treasurer, Lisa Frazier, would like to remind the taxpayers that 2nd half property tax payments for the year 2023 are due on or before Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
You may come into the Treasurer’s office at 411 N 5th St., Bldg. 1 (2nd Floor) and pay in person between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or use the drive-up payment drop box located in the alley.
Payments must be postmarked no later than October 31st, 2023, to be considered on time and avoid interest charges. Postmarks and delivery can be delayed when using USPS to mail payment(s), please mail early.
Delinquent interest will be charged for payments beginning Wednesday, November 1st, 2023.
The Treasurer’s office offers the ability to pay by credit/debit card at the counter, online and by phone through Point N Pay. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. Please note there is a fee associated with the use of debit and credit cards for the payment of property taxes pursuant to RCW 36.29.190. You may pay online by visiting Paydici. Enter your parcel number and then follow the instructions to pay. A convenience fee will be charged.
Please note that if you have been assessed DNR Fire Patrol Assessment on more than one parcel of property owned by you in Mason County, you may be entitled to a refund from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. Refunds requests must be received on or before December 31, 2023. Fire Patrol Refund forms can be found on our website under Forms/Brochures/Handouts,or picked up at our office.

- 1/30/2023 - News Release - 2023 Tax Roll Completion - Pursuant to RCW 84.56.020, I, Elisabeth (Lisa) Frazier, Mason County Treasurer, hereby certify
that the 2023 tax roll has been completed and is ready for collection beginning Saturday,
January 28 th, 2023.
Please note that 2023 tax statements are tentatively scheduled to be mailed on or about the week of February 20th, 2022.

The County Treasurer holds a key position of public trust in the financial affairs of local government.
Primary Responsibilities
- The billing and collection of real and personal property taxes (including foreclosure and distraint proceedings against delinquent accounts for sale at public auctions), special assessments, gambling taxes, and other miscellaneous revenue.
- Receipting and accounting for all funds and deposits of revenue for the state, county and junior taxing districts.
- Depositing and investing of all funds for the county and junior taxing districts. Managing the cash flow of the county and junior taxing districts.
- Coordinating banking services for the county and junior taxing districts.
- Collecting excise tax on the sale or transfer of real property and mobile homes.
- Administering short and long term debt financing.
